Episode Description
This Show is PART 4 of j-so Poetry Podcast’s LET FREEDOM RING Series where j-so shares how she started this journey of wanting to get the following question answered:

If the Declaration of Independence declared freedom, justice, and liberty for all Americans, then why was there a need for an Emancipation Proclamation or a 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment and/or even a Civil Rights Movement of 1964? . . .

jso is excited to introduce listeners to some very passionate and inspiring scholars who teach about enslavement and enslaved human beings' struggle-to-freedom in America. jso has been most informed and inspired along this journey--and encourages each listener to take notes, listen/view the complete lectures and interviews being shared in this show (links below).
